Your Home Inspection
Gary Poirier developed a home inspection company that was based on helping the customer get to know their house and be comfortable not only with their purchase, but with the maintenance and running of their home. Our process has developed over 20+ years of experience.
How We Work
- Walkabout Inspections require that whenever possible, the purchaser of the home inspection is present. If you are the buyer, it is crucial that you attend the inspection to receive the maximum benefit. The inspector will be taking the time to explain to you the areas of the house that need improvement or repair.
- It is important to note that the inspector will not provide you with estimates of repair, nor will he/she pass or fail a house. They are solely there to gather and share information pertaining to the present state of the home with you.
- The inspection will take approximately three to four hours, depending on the size of the house. If your site is above average in size or has multiple kitchens, be sure to ask your inspector for a time estimate so you can ensure your attendance throughout the entire inspection.
- Once you arrive at the site and meet the inspector, he will explain the contract to you, and give you time to read and complete the contract to ensure you agree with the terms and conditions. This contract affects your legal rights, please read it carefully before signing. Once the contract has been signed, the inspection and your education can begin.
- You will receive an easy to understand home inspection report covering all the main components of a home. The Walkabout Home Inspectors will take the time to cover and explain the finer details of their findings, so you are fully briefed on the property.
