There's more upsides than downsides to living in the Lower Mainland. We live in a rainforest, with beautiful green trees and foliage. And they stay that way because of the rain. Lots of rain and wind. The rain and wind wreak havoc on our homes, especially perimeter drains and roofs.

For many homeowners, this will be the first winter that they've had to look after the maintenance of their place.
